A New Start

I'm back in California and I'm ready for this new beginning. 

I went camping by myself in the desert last week. The isolation was scary at first, but in the end I was able to clear my mind and start a new painting that I'm really excited about. I was unsure whether the piece I was going to create was going to draw from the waste and famine of the desert or the life that fights to thrive in it's harsh environment. Turns out I went for the latter, which will soon be emphasized by the foreground when I complete this.
